Portable Reaction Post
 Purpose:
To provide 'portable' ballistic, frag and blast protection for one to four men responding
in a reaction maneuver at a defense or security location.
Description: A ballistic molded, bottomless and topless, tub with
exterior wall made of 1-1/2" ballistic fiberglass (Level VI). The slanted ballistic
exterior wall provides frag and blast protection. Four dual purpose eye bolts mounted at
bottom of exterior wall provides air-lift capability or tie-down security. An interior
inward slanted wall (attached to the molded exterior, but only 24" high) with bottom
creates a storage area running the circumference of the post. The interior wall will have
four 10" x 14" spring loaded doors (top or bottom hinged) with security lock
which will provide access to storage compartment. The top exterior wall of the post will
have eight gun slots, approximately 4" x 12". which will provide 360o
defense options. Interior surface and exterior surface to be smooth gelcoat.
Weight: 5,500 pounds.
Maintenance/Life: This maintenance-free post is estimated to have a life
expectancy of 99 years. Any hits or minor damage can be field repaired without the loss of
the ballistic integrity.
Optional: Removable ballistic or nonballistic top for use during
inclement weather - custom to client's specifications and application.
